It’s both and neither at the same time. The location has gone through several different stages in terms of its purpose. It was once a barn, then a theater, and now it serves as a venue for many joyous occasions. With its modernized aesthetic and twinkling lights, it can make for a truly magical night.
The venue has two main spaces for hosting, one inside and one outside. The courtyard area is ideal for ceremonies or intimate outdoor receptions. The inside space has ample room for large receptions of up to 350 guests, and a dancefloor.
Pricing for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weddings starts at $3,400. Weekday weddings from Monday to Thursday start at $1,800. If you choose to host both your ceremony and reception at Winthrop Barn Theatre, there will be an additional fee of $400 to set up and clean for the ceremony area. This pricing is for 8 hour rentals of the space. Additional hours can be added on for an additional fee of $400 per hour, and there is also an additional charge for holiday weddings.
The price includes access to the amenities on the property such as the getting ready suites for both partners, the courtyard, and the gazebo. The package also includes wedding necessities such as tables, chairs, internet, parking, floor plan, dancefloor, on-site attendant, set-up and breakdown, and cleaning before and after your wedding.
If you are interested in a rehearsal dinner before your wedding day, the venue offers a complimentary 1 hour rental of the outdoor courtyard area for people who choose to get married on a weekday. These are offered from Tuesday to Thursday before 6pm. If you wish to have the rehearsal dinner after 6pm, there will be a $100 fee.
The venue also offers additional rentals and services that are not included in their rental price, but can be added on to your package if you wish. These include: a white curtain backdrop for $250, leather chairs for the married couple for $50, colored LED lights for $50, projector and screen for $50, a speaker with a microphone for $50, and a gobo light with a stock image for $50.
